Wings Over America Deluxe Box Set - Grammy Winner

After January 26th's Grammy broadcast, I realized I needed to post this great Wings box set from Hear Music/Concord Music Group. Our congratulations to designers Simon Earith and James Musgrave from design studio YES in the UK for their vision and inspiration. This reissue was available in late May of 2013. There are so many cool details, I can't begin to show everything, but I'll try. This was a terrific project on which to work; full of unique and exciting details. Suffice to say if you are McCartney fan, you need to own this box set. On to the details!

This logo is foil stamped on the front cover of the tour itinerary and disk book. Sets the tone of the package.

As you review this package, a little production note; the entire box set was printed stochastically, a printing method using high resolution random dots creating smooth images with no patterns.

When the shrink wrap is removed, you have a turned edge slip case with silk screen printing, tip-ons and holographic labels. Inside you'll find four books, plus a small tour book reproduction.

The itinerary book is covered with a high quality faux leather, folded over and glued. Inside you'll find replica photos made with a special technique to mimic old school photo paper. Four brass fasteners hold the contents, loose leaf style. The 3 CD disks and 1 DVD of the Wings Over The World CBS show are in the rear. Included are photographic fold-outs of each venue in which Wings played, a travel schedule, set list, costume sketches, and tour photography. This book also contains the lyrics to the songs as played in concert. In the very back is a reproduction of the tour book.

Lee Hazlewood lavish Box Set - Two different formats

Light in the Attic (LITA) proclaims on their website “Well, looks like dreams do come true and here’s one we’ve been saving”……… There’s A Dream I’ve Been Saving, commemorating the complete legacy of Lee Hazlewood Industries from 1966-1971 was released for sale on November 26th

Lee Hazlewood......who you say….; does “These Boots Are Made for Walkin” ring any bells? Yep that song made famous by Nancy Sinatra.

From Wikipedia: Barton Lee Hazlewood July 9, 1929 – August 4, 2007) was an American country and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, most widely known for his work with guitarist Duane Eddy during the late 1950s and singer Nancy Sinatra in the 1960s.

Hazlewood had a distinctive baritone voice that added a resonance to his music. Hazlewood's collaborations with Nancy Sinatra as well as his solo output in the late 1960s and early 1970s have been praised as an essential contribution to a sound often described as "Cowboy Psychedelia" or "Saccharine Underground".

We understand the airline ticket originally issued by AA would have been a copyright issue; LITA opted to create a Hazlewood ticket.
