Forecasting The Minneapolis Sound

John Kirby writes; “The shape of funk to come-the Minneapolis Sound, as it would be popularly known-was not entirely the invention of the prince who became the city’s most famous citizen; it was instead a perfect storm of individuals and influences. Their output signaled a coming flood-and a welcomed levee failure-that would unleash a new era of musical expression into the Land of 10,000 Lakes and beyond.”

And thus we have the basis for Numero’s #050 Purple Snow: Forecasting the Minneapolis Sound
